Joined with the parish of Saint Joseph in Thomonde, Haiti, by our common love of God and our Catholic Faith under the guidance of the Diocese of Richmond, we seek to maintain a relationship of spiritual growth and mutual benefit to both our parishes, as we journey together with Christ, "seeking an opportunity to grow deeper in faith and solidarity with all God's children around the world." In our parish Prayer Shawl Ministry, care and love of knitting and crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those needing comfort and solace. Blessings are woven into each shawl. Recipients' names are placed on our prayer list and shawls are packaged for pick up on the first Tuesday of each month. The blessing is rippled from sender to receiver, with both feeling the unconditional embrace of a sheltering and loving God.
Prayer Shawl Ministry meets Mondays at 6:30 pm in the parish office's ministry level (downstairs). All are welcome.
To request a prayer shawl for a friend, loved one, or someone in need, please contact Debbie Vanover at dvanover777@gmail.com or Renee Ferreri at rferreri44@hotmail.com
