  The Discipleship Team is back! Rising 11th and 12th graders are invited to apply to the SBYM Discipleship Team. Discipleship Team differs from CORE Team as Discipleship Team is composed of high school students who are trained as peer leaders to mentor middle school students and high school students in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
  
  Role of Discipleship Team:
  Mentor and accompany peers in their relationship with Jesus Christ
  Grow as servant leaders within youth ministry
  Share personal testimony about how Jesus Christ has worked in their lives.
  Pray for each member of the Discipleship Team as well as pray for all of our youth.
  
  Expectations for Discipleship Team Member:
  Participate in Mass on Sunday
  Participate in the Discipleship Team retreat on Sunday, September 8 from 2 pm -5pm.
  Continue faith formation through participation in youth group and monthly Discipleship Team meetings.
  Communicate regularly with youth ministers, team members, and accountability partners
  
  Each member can disciple to either middle or high school, as well as help with our confirmation teens as mentors and leaders through their sacramental preparation once a month.
  Middle school meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45.
  High school meets on Sunday afternoons from 3:15-4:45.
  Confirmation meets once a month from 7-8:30. You can also help with our overnight confirmation retreat on January 24-25, 2025.
  The retreat for Discipleship and Core Team will be on September 8 from 2-5 pm.
  
  We will also meet once a month for dinner and a Discipleship Team meeting to grow as team, deepen your relationship with Jesus, learn what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ, as well as learn leadership qualities that will help you throughout your life.
