CORE Team Information

What is CORE Team?

CORE stands for "Catechist of Religious Education." CORE Team is a group of adult volunteers who are committed to walking with high school students on their faith journeys. CORE Team facilitates small groups, develops positive relationships with teens, and prays for our high school students.

Who serves on CORE Team?

CORE team consists of college students, young adults, parents, grandparents, and parishioners who are passionate about accompanying high school students on their journeys toward Christ. We are always looking for individuals to join one of our CORE teams. If you are interested in serving in this important ministry, please contact Deacon Grimm or Ginny Gazewood.

Which CORE Team should I join?

  • Adult CORE: Made up of young adults, parents, grandparents, and parishioners, they assist with weekly meetings of 9th grade, 10th grade, Confirmation, and Upperclassman (11th and 12th Grade)
  • Confirmation CORE: Made up of adults and upperclassman, they assist with the planning and execution of the Confirmation Program, including the Confirmation Retreat in the Spring

When does CORE Team meet?

CORE Team meets throughout the semester to pray and plan for upcoming youth group meetings. All Core Team meetings will take place in the Youth Room, located on the ministry level of our new building. The Fall 2017 meeting schedule is as follows:
