Aaron E. Renninger is a native of Indiana and graduated cum laude from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance.  Aaron holds a Master of Sacred Music Degree from the University of Notre Dame studying under Dr. Craig Cramer, Professor and Artist in residence at the University.  He has completed advanced programs in choral conducting, chironomy, chant notation and hand bells and travelled throughout Northern Germany playing and researching historic pipe organs adding to his extensive knowledge of organ building.  Professionally, Aaron has served as organist, choirmaster and director of liturgy and music for several churches in the Midwest. As Director of Liturgy and Music at Saint Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg since January 2011, Aaron directs the parish choir, a schola ensemble, a Choral Scholars program, and a children’s choir, serves as the principal organist and is responsible for all liturgical planning for the parish.  He was selected to sit on the Liturgical Commission for the Diocese of Richmond and currently chairs the Diocesan Music Committee. He holds memberships in the American Guild of Organists, National Pastoral Musicians, Church Music Association of America and the Royal School of Church Music. 

 

Carina Sturdy, AAGO, earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts studying with Dr. Timothy Olsen. She spent a year studying organ at the University of Notre Dame with Dr. Craig Cramer and working at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. In addition to playing numerous solo concerts including recitals at the Spoleto Festival, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, and Bruton Parish Church, Carina has placed in both regional and national music competitions. She has competed in the Quimby/AGO Competition for Young Artists, placing second in the Mid-Atlantic regional competition in 2017. She served as organ scholar for the Royal School of Church Music Carolina Course at Duke University in the summer of 2017. Carina has also served as the Organist for Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC and Organ Scholar for Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, VA. Growing up in Williamsburg, Virginia, Carina played fife and harpsichord for Colonial Williamsburg. She became an avid hand bell ringer at the age of 12 and went on to start two hand bell ensembles. She serves as a member at large for the Tidewater Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and holds memberships in the American Guild of Organists and the Handbell Musicians of America.
