Outreach Center

The Outreach Center provides emergency financial assistance and support to those in need from our parish and the greater Williamsburg community. Volunteers offer confidential assistance and counseling in social services. Through the generous financial and in-kind donations of our parishioners, this ministry serves over 2,000 families each year who have no where else to turn.

Our parish will be assisting families with housing needs. 

Please contact Terry Walker if you can supply time, talent or treasure to help in this effort. In addition to funding, we also foresee a need for housing assistance,  bedding, furniture, housewares, transportation, clothing, and employment opportunities to start.  Terry will be coordinating our parish’s support, and will keep a list of parishioner resources and coordinate this with family needs.  Thank you for answering the Gospel call to serve!

Please note: 

  • The Outreach Center is closed on Fridays and Holidays.

  • A written referral from United Way is required.

  • Clients are seen by appointment for financial assistance.

  • Clients seeking food are assisted during Outreach Center hours.

  • If the Outreach Center is closed, call Salvation Army (757-229-6651), United Way (757-229-2222) or Social Services (757-259-3100) for JCC and 757-220-6161 for Williamsburg).

How do I get involved?

Feeding the hungry and serving the poor are some of the most visible ways for our parish to bring Christ into our community. We are always in need of donations of time, talent, or treasure. Contact Shannon at 229-3700 for more information.
