This Week's Bulletin

Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
June 28, 2009

A message from Father Rob

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Over the past two years, I have had the honor and privilege of serving here at Saint Bede as your Parochial Vicar; and what an honor it has been! I wish to take this opportunity to extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to you, the faithful people of God, for allowing me to be an active part of your journey with Christ. Whether I was celebrating the Baptism or First Holy Communion of your children, preparing your teens for Confirmation, preparing couples for marriage, anointing the sick or burying a loved one, or, most precious of all, celebrating Mass (the source and summit from which all sacraments flow), it has been my absolute joy to be a part of everything.

Saint Bede has offered and provided many opportunities for me to grow in my love of all God’s people. You have deepened my love for Christ through your daily witness and service of His love. As I come to the end of my ministry here, please know that you’ll remain in my heart and prayers always. I’m not overly fond of “good-byes” because I know we will all be reunited someday, whether during our earthly lives or in heaven at the eternal banquet. So, please accept this brief note with thanks and love as my expression of gratitude to you.

May Our Lord continue to bless you and your families!

In Christ’s endless love,

Father Rob Cole

Development

Contact Erin Pitre, 229-6472

The Institute of School & Parish Development eloquently defines true Catholic Development as the meaningful involvement of people in your mission and vision for the future. Two visionary parishioners have stepped up to serve as members of the Development Team; a handful of others have offered to serve as consultants. Knowing that Development is so much more engaging and dynamic than simply “fundraising,” perhaps you will consider joining us. Prayerfully reflect on the future of Saint Bede, and help steer us on our course. For more information, please contact the Development Office.

If you make stewardship offerings via automatic charitable transfers, know that you now can add a Debt Reduction contribution monthly or semi-monthly by enrolling online at www.bedeva.org/parishLife/ACH or by making a simple phone call. We will be happy to make the adjustment for you. Call Erin Pitre, 229-6472, or Joyce Koch, 229-3700. A complete calendar of the weekly second and/or special collections is available online at www.bedeva.org/development/images/OffertoryCalendar.pdf.
