Have you been away from the Church for a while? Are you thinking about coming home, but you’re just not sure how?
Welcome Home is a program for non-practicing Catholics who are thinking about returning to the Church. The nine week series offers a new beginning to spiritual reunion with Christ and His Church.
Our lives on earth should be a wholehearted search for God and His truth. For some, the search is quick and easy and for others it is long and hard. Welcome Home, a unique program developed at our parish, is designed to make your search easier and fruitful in a frendly non-judgemental environment.
Welcome Home will provide a number of thought provoking resources that will help you to understand more clearly the Catholic Church and its teachings. As we explore these teaching we come to better realize the relavancy of our faith to everyday life. We are drawn ever-deeper into the mystery of Christ discovering anew the meaning and purpose of our lives and that, inspite of ourselves, we are loved with an everlasting love.
The goal of Welcome Home is to put inactive Catholics not only in touch with, but in intimate communion with Jesus Christ. Only he can shatter the darkness of our lives with the light of His love.
Welcome Home promises to give you the honest truth with nothing held back. We won't shy away from difficult subjects, nor will we refrain from pointing out the many beautiful, wonderful and even miraculous aspects of the Church.
Regardless of your situation or walk in life, Saint Bede Catholic Church invites you to rediscover your Catholic roots. Over the last four years, over three hundred fallen-away Catholics have returned to the Church through the Welcome Home program at our parish.
No matter how long you've been away, no matter what the reason, give us a call at (757) 603-6989 and ask for Deacon Dominic Cerrato. He is happy to answer questions or meet with you if you wish. You can also download our brochure for more information or view session outline.
